TC Keni now Cat 2 and intensifying

TROPICAL Cyclone Keni is now a Cat 2 and is intensifying.

The cyclone Was 590km west of Nadi at 5.35pm today.

It will be 270km west southwest of Viwa or 320km west of Nadi at 3am tomorrow.

By 3pm tomorrow afternoon it will be 80km southwest of Kadavu or about 170km south southwest of Suva.

Close to its centre, the cyclone which is gradually intensifying is expected to have average winds of 85km/hr and momentary gusts to 120km/hr. 

Meanwhile, an active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji.
