Tenders sought for roadworks

Luke Rawalai
Wednesday, April 18, 2018

THE Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) will dispatch tenders at the end of this month for roadworks along the Lomaloma slip between Savusavu and Labasa.

A statement from the authority revealed that works would include the installation of horizontal subsoil drainage at the site.

"The diversion around the Lomaloma slip is still open to all traffic on usual single lane set up as of last year," the statement said.

"FRA is monitoring the site on a daily basis and we are requesting motorists to please drive with care and follow speed limits and signs posted around the slip area."

Commuters along the road have expressed their concern on the state of the slip, adding it needed to be addressed since it has been accessible through a single lane for a long time now.
