Boost for Fiji Finals

DAMODAR Group has renewed its sponsorship for this year's Coca-Cola Games with a $7000 sponsorship.

Group chief executive officer Div Damodar said the sponsorship was a continuation of the company's commitment to develop and promote the annual schools games.

He said all gold medallists this year's games would be given free movie passes and meal vouchers.

"We are grateful to be given the opportunity to be part of this year's games and we have committed $7000 worth of sponsorship," said Damodar.

"Two thousand dollars worth of tickets and $2000 worth of meal vouchers and cash donation is part of our sponsorship this year and the idea is to make the youths progress and as a proud nation we want to see the youths leading sports."

FSSAA president Marika Uluinaceva said the timely sponsorship would boost the competition.

"We sincerely appreciate the kind gesture by Damodar in supporting the games and we know the athletes need the support such as this."

FSSAA general secretary Vuli Waqa said Damodar had played a vital role in the success of the past games through its sponsorship.

"Damodar has been our sponsor for couple of years now and its always lovely to work with the people that has the heart for the games."

"The gift is very much appreciated and we hope more will come on board to help the athletes," he added.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held at the ANZ Stadium from tomorrow to Saturday
